T-Pain Net Worth, Age, Height

T-Pain is a very famous rapper and singer but what is T-Pain’s net worth?

Rapper T-Pain scored a string of hits that made him one of the hottest new acts in the genre. His featured performances included Kanye West’s “Good Life,” which earned West the 2008 Grammy Award for best rap song, and so many of T-Pain’s own hits have become best-selling ringtones that Billboard magazine dubbed him “The Ring King.” The basic elements of writing and production are at the core of his success, he told writer Sonia Murray in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Everybody is so busy concentrating on a song, trying to be different or abstract,” he reflected, “instead of just being a basic, beautiful picture.” T-Pain scored a second Grammy Award in 2010 and released his fourth album in 2011. How Much Money Does T-Pain Make?

As a solo artist, T-Pain scored his first hit after reworking a track from Senegalese-American rapper Akon. The original song was titled “Locked Up,” but T-Pain refashioned it into “I’m [Messed] Up” after obtaining an advance promotional copy of the song before it was officially released to radio in early 2005. “I jacked his beat, basically,” he admitted to Jones in the USA Today interview. “I made my own song and my own video and everything. It started to get so big that people thought when ‘Locked Up’ came out, he stole it from me. It was crazy.” The song came to the attention of Akon, who tried to contact the upstart, but T-Pain initially thought it was a prank call. Instead the African-born musician invited him to sign with his own label, Konvict Muzik, but “I’m [Messed] Up” had also attracted the attention of a major label, Interscope, whose executives also began to court T-Pain. At the time, his father was his manager, and “my dad was really looking at the money rather than the artistic situation,” T-Pain recalled in a 2008 interview with Hillary Crosley in Billboard. “He wanted me to sign with Interscope because they were throwing out the most money. But the day I had a meeting with Interscope, I ran away from home.”

T-Pain released his debut on Akon’s Konvict Muzik–a subsidiary of Jive Records–in 2005. Its title, Rappa Ternt Sanga, was a slangy turn on the phrase “rapper turned singer,” and its 18 tracks were autobiographical and dealt in frank terms with certain aspects of his private life. The album yielded a pair of Billboard top ten hits: “I’m Sprung” and “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper)”; moreover, both songs were released as downloadable ringtones and became massive hits in that particular sales territory. The first racked up sales of nearly two million, while “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper)” hit the five-million ringtone mark. That feat earned him some respect from Jive executives, who had until then been uninterested in providing any marketing or promotional money for Akon’s new protégé. “I had people at Jive tell me they didn’t believe in my product and let me know that they didn’t too much care,” Antony Bruno in Billboard quoted T-Pain as saying in 2007. “But selling 6.7 million ringtones … changed their minds.” He also noted in another interview that the tale about the exotic dancer came when he and friend took a third pal, whom they dubbed “Choir Boy,” to an adult-entertainment establishment. On a more serious note, however, he told Blender magazine’s Ryan Dombal that “I’ve been to a lot of strip clubs and I’ve heard a lot of life stories. It’s saddening. This one girl showed me a bunch of pictures of her kids and told me how she really wanted to be with them but she couldn’t because she can only strip out of town because everyone in her city knows her.”

T-Pain’s second album was Epiphany, and it debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard R&B chart in June of 2007. Its first single, “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’)” featuring Atlanta rapper Yung Joc, became the top-selling ringtone of the year. Epiphany also featured guest spots from Akon on the track “Bartender,” reached platinum-status, and climbed to the top of the Billboard “Top 200″ album charts as well. The sudden fame made T-Pain an in-demand guest vocalist on tracks by others, including “The Boss” from Rick Ross, “Kiss Kiss” from Chris Brown, and Kanye West’s “Good Life,” which won West the Grammy Award for best rap song of 2007.
